Kylie Collins
My avid passion to support children and young people on their mindfulness journey, stems from my own issues with anxiety and a complex childhood. I know first-hand that the benefits of mindfulness and meditation can truly change one's life for the better, and help us to grow and deal with the challenges we face. I am an advocate for mental health intervention and believe if our children can learn coping strategies at a young age, this will greatly decrease the severity of illness as an adult. I have extensive experience in the community services sector in a range of case management and program facilitation roles, within mental health, ageing and disabilities, and young children in the foster care system. I pride myself on being open-minded, compassionate and down-to-earth in my approach - I love to laugh and continue to embrace my inner child as an adult - which definitely helps with engaging kids! I believe that every child should have the opportunity to learn such an important range of skills that will take them into adulthood - I am so proud to be able to contribute to this in my work. |
